Professor Joh Comments for GQ on the Future of Technology and Policing
Professor Elizabeth Joh commented for GQ magazine on "predictive policing," law enforcement's use of technology to predict where crimes are likely to occur and who is likely to commit them.
"Policing in the future is going to be about managing information on a large scale" Joh said. "They want to be like Amazon or Google and collect as much data as possible."
Professor Joh's scholarship focuses on criminal procedure and policing, with a special emphasis on DNA evidence, undercover policing, and new surveillance technologies.
