Professor Joh Comments on DNA Theft for Hollywood Reporter

Professor Elizabeth Joh commented on DNA theft for the Hollywood Reporter.  The article discusses claims by Marvel Entertainment Chairman Isaac Perlmutter that his DNA had been stolen in an ongoing legal dispute.

"Everyone worries about digital privacy and hacking," said Joh. "Surprisingly, there's little law on DNA collection, and in many ways, this is concerning because one can't change their genetic password if a theft happens."

Professor Joh's scholarship focuses on criminal procedure and policing, with a special emphasis on DNA evidence, undercover policing, and new surveillance technologies.
