Professor Jasmine Harris writes chapter for new book Diversity, Health, Law, and Bioethics

The new book Disability, Health, Law, and Bioethics (Cambridge University Press) features a chapter by Professor Jasmine E. Harris, “The Privacy Problem in Disability Antidiscrimination Law.”

In the chapter, Harris discusses people who “in the shadow of a history of forced isolation and as a way of managing the stigma of disability, have, at times, rejected their public identity as disabled,” even when doing so denies greater access to services, accommodations, and other benefits.

Disability, Health, Law, and Bioethics was edited by I. Glenn Cohen, Carmel Shachar and Michael Ashley Stein of Harvard Law School and the late Anita Silvers, of San Francisco State.
