Professor Imwinkelried Invited to Judicial Conference Committee Special Meeting

The Federal Rules of Evidence Advisory Committee of the Judicial Conference is responsible for proposing amendments to the Evidence Rules. In late October, the committee will host a special meeting. The committee has invited five evidence scholars to speak to help the committee develop new proposals for amendments.

Professor Emeritus Ed Imwinkelried is one of the scholars. He will be discussing the relationship between Federal Rules 404 and 608. More specifically, he will argue that in light of recent Rule 404 developments, the Committee should propose several amendments to Rule 608. The proceedings will be published in Fordham Law Review.
