Professor Imwinkelried Interviewed by New Science on Microbial Forensics
Professor Edward Imwinkelried was interviewed by Julian Smith, a reporter for the British magazine, New Science. The subject of the interview was the emerging field of microbial forensics.
In 2015, together with one of his former students, Edwin Steussy '14, Professor Imwinkelried published an article in Criminal Law Bulletin about the potential uses of microbial analysis for purposes such as estimating time of death and the classification of body fluids. Imwinkelried presented a paper on microbial forensics at the Fifth International Conference on Evidence Law and Forensic Science in Australia last year and was interviewed on Australian national radio during the conference.
Professor Imwinkelried is a world-renowned evidence scholar and has published extensively in the field. He is the coauthor, with Paul Giannelli, Andrea Roth, and Jane Campbell Moriarty, of Scientific Evidence (Lexis Pub.Co. 5th ed. 2012).
