Professor Ikemoto Speaks at Documentary Film Screening

Professor Lisa Ikemoto spoke as part of a panel discussion that followed a screening of Birthright: A War Story. The documentary film explores the impacts of the “Right to Life” movement’s opposition to abortion, contraception, and sterilization. The screening, sponsored by UC Davis Medical Students for Choice, was held at UC Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento on January 31.

Lisa Ikemoto, Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of Law at UC Davis School of Law, has written extensively on genetic and reproductive technology, the regulation of fertility and pregnancy, and race and gender disparities in health care. Her current work examines emerging issues in regenerative medicine, including stem cell research, and the human tissues market.
