Professor Ikemoto participates in 'Bishops and Bodies' panel on hospitals with religious ties

On Sept. 5, Professor Lisa Ikemoto spoke on a panel at UC Berkeley titled “Bishops and Bodies: Religion and Reproductive Health Care.” The event addressed aspects of hospitals with religious affiliations, including their partnerships with secular institutions.

The next day, Professor Ikemoto participated in the Intensive Workshop on Religious Freedom and Religious Restrictions in Health Care, also held at UC Berkeley.

Lisa Ikemoto, Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of Law at UC Davis School of Law, has written extensively on genetic and reproductive technology, the regulation of fertility and pregnancy, and race and gender disparities in health care. Her current work examines emerging issues in regenerative medicine, including stem cell research, and the human tissues market.
