Professor Hillman Comments on Goldman Sachs Report for Bloomberg
Professor Robert Hillman commented for Bloomberg.com and for Bloomberg TV on the investigative report on Goldman Sachs Inc. submitted by the U.S. Senate to the Justice Department and Securities and Exchange Commission. The report finds that Goldman Sachs misled clients about mortgage-linked securities.
Professor Hillman said that given Goldman Sachs's previous payment of $550 million to settle SEC claims related to its marketing of collateralized debt obligations, it is probably unlikely that the SEC would take further action against the firm.
