Professor Harris takes part in campus Advancing Pain Relief Virtual Symposium

Professor Jasmine E. Harris presented a lightning talk, “The Dangers of Using Civil Commitment as a Prescription for the Opioid Crisis,” as part of the March 3 UC Davis 2021 Advancing Pain Relief Virtual Symposium.
 
Presented by the UC Davis Center for Advancing Pain Relief, the symposium brought together UC Davis scholars from across disciplines in an effort to help break down silos across campus and stimulate collaborative research.
 
Jasmine E. Harris is a professor of law and Martin Luther King Jr. Hall Research Scholar at UC Davis School of Law. Professor Harris is an expert in disability law, anti-discrimination law, and evidence. She is a law and equality scholar with a particular focus on disability. Professor Harris received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. (magna cum laude) from Dartmouth College.
