Professor Frank Testifies for State Water, Parks, and Wildlife Committee
Rick Frank '74, Executive Director of the Center for Law, Energy, and the Environment at UC Berkeley and a Visiting Lecturer at King Hall this semester, testified before the California Assembly's Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee on February 9 as part of the committee's investigation of the California Department of Fish & Game. The specific topic of Rick's testimony was, "The Public Trust-Related Responsibilities of the Department of Fish & Game: An Assessment and Environmental Report Card."
Professor Frank has spent 30 years working in California government, including service as the Chief Deputy Attorney General for Legal Affairs in the California Department of Justice. An expert in environmental law, land use, and related issues, he is teaching Environmental Practice and California Environmental Issues and working to develop externships and other relationships between the School of Law and the state and federal governments.
