Professor Frank Teaches Comparative Environmental Law Course in Italy
From May 24-June 5, Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank co-taught an ABA-approved short course in Comparative Environmental Law in Como, Italy. This second annual course offering represents an ongoing collaboration between King Hall's International Law Program and the host University of Insubria School of Law in Como.
Professor Frank taught the course with University of Insubria Law Professor Barbara Pozzo. In addition to daily classroom sessions, the program included field trips to the Milan, Italy courts to observe courtroom proceedings and meet with Italian judges and attorneys; a class session at the University of Milan; and a visit to the federal courts in Switzerland. The program attracted law students from Italy, Brazil, Poland, Argentina, France, Great Britain, and the Philippines, in addition to students from a number of American law schools.
Frank, a 1974 graduate of King Hall, is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
