Professor Frank Speaks at California Water Policy Conference

On April 20, Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank participated as a speaker at the 25th annual California Water Policy Conference, held for the first time on the UC Davis campus. 

Frank participated as a panelist on a program entitled, "If Pigs Won't Fly: `Fixing' California Water Rights."  His presentation focused on shortcomings in California's existing legal system of water rights, as exposed by the state's unprecedented, five-year drought.  Frank also proposed several specific water rights reform measures designed to make California's water supplies more resilient and efficient in the future.

Frank, a 1974 graduate of King Hall, is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
