Professor Frank Leads Webinar on U.N. Conference of the Parties

On Nov. 30, Professor of Environmental Practice Rick Frank led a webinar discussion sponsored by the California Lawyers Association’s Environmental Law Section and titled “Reflections on the United Nations' 26th Conference of the Parties (COP 26).”

That conference focused on two recent and critically important international climate change developments: the U.N.’s issuance of its Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Sixth Assessment Report (a study by 200 of the world’s top climate scientists reporting on the rate, scope and consequences of global warming); and the COP26—the gathering of 197 nations in Glasgow, Scotland, last month to formulate global strategies and agreements designed to address the climate change crisis.

Frank interviewed a panel of government official and academics who attended and participated in COP26 in Glasgow. The panel shared their insights, reflections and key developments from the Conference. The webinar was viewed by environmental lawyers and law students throughout California, including a group of King Hall students.
