Professor Frank Keynotes California Coastal Act Conference

On November 17, Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank ’74 delivered the keynote address at a conference commemorating the 40th anniversary of the California Coastal Act.  The conference, held at UC Berkeley, represented a first-ever collaboration between King Hall's California Environmental Law & Policy Center and the Stanford, UC Berkeley and UCLA Schools of Law.  Professor Frank's keynote address focused on the accomplishments and challenges faced by the California Coastal Commission over its first four decades.  Additionally, Professor Frank moderated a panel on coastal access issues under the Coastal Act, focusing on how access to the California coast can be enhanced for the state's low income residents and people of color in the years to come.

Frank is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
