Professor Frank Interviewed on Offshore Drilling by NPR’s KCRW

On February 8, Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank ’74 was interviewed by morning host Cheryl Glaser at KCRW, National Public Radio’s station in Los Angeles. In the interview, Professor Frank was questioned extensively about the Trump Administration’s ambitious plans to expand offshore oil and gas drilling off the California coast and much of the rest of the nation. He specifically commented on legal tools the State of California can and likely will invoke to oppose the federal proposal, the extent to which offshore oil drilling technology has become safer and how it can be improved, and whether the Trump Administration’s administrative process in proceeding with its plans potentially violates federal law.

Frank is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
