Professor Frank Comments on Climate Change Litigation for Daily Journal

Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank commented for the Daily Journal on the legal battle that threatens to halt the federal Environmental Protection Agency's efforts to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.  The EPA has been sued by numerous businesses, some states, and individuals in the wake of its "endangerment finding" that greenhouse gases endanger the public health and subsequent proposed regulation of greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act.

"If industry is successful in invalidating or postponing the regulatory rollout, then the Obama administration's climate change initiatives will be stalled and truly nothing will be going on at the national level," Frank said.  The article appeared in both the San Francisco and Los Angeles editions of the Daily Journal on February 28.

Frank, a 1974 graduate of King Hall, is a leading scholar and practitioner in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the new California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
