Professor Frank Briefs Environmental Lawyers on Supreme Court Ruling
Professor Richard Frank participated in an internet-based briefing on May 6 to inform California environmental law practitioners regarding the California Supreme Court ruling in and future implications of Communities for a Better Environment v. South Coast Air Quality Management District. Frank argued and prevailed before the California Supreme Court earlier this year in the case, in which his clients challenged a refinery expansion project in Southern California under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Frank, a 1974 graduate of King Hall, is Executive Director of the Center for Law, Energy, and the Environment at UC Berkeley and a Visiting Lecturer at King Hall.
