Professor Frank addresses attorneys from state agencies at CalEPA headquarters

On April 23, Professor of Environmental Practice Rick Frank ’74 spoke to a group of approximately 200 environmental attorneys from the California’s Environmental Protection Agency, Natural Resources Agency and California Attorney General’s office at CalEPA headquarters in Sacramento.

Frank’s remarks focused on recent environmental law developments in the U.S. Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Supreme Court. He also analyzed what former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy’s 2018 retirement and Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s ascension to the court portend for future Supreme Court environmental jurisprudence.

Frank concluded his remarks with a brief analysis of California’s current and pending environmental litigation against the Trump administration.
