Professor Feeney Comments on California Budget for FOXBusiness.com
Professor Floyd Feeney commented on the California Legislature's budget negotiations for FOXBusiness.com, an affiliate of the Fox Business Network cable and satellite news service.
Professor Feeney described the budget agreement reached last week by state lawmakers as "pieced together with bailing wire" and "not a long-term solution" for California's budget crisis. Professor Feeney cited the state's requirement of a two-thirds supermajority in order to pass a budget as part of reason California has not been able to reach a more lasting resolution of its budget problems.
Professor Feeney is a leader in the fields of criminal justice and election law. He is one of the founding faculty members of the Law School, having joined the staff in 1968.
