Professor Elmendorf's S.F. Chronicle Op-ed Urges 'Fresh Thinking' on CEQA, Housing

Professor Christopher Elmendorf and Tim Duncheon, a San Francisco attorney, wrote a Dec. 4 op-ed for the San Francisco Chronicle headlined “How an outdated environmental law is sabotaging California’s new housing rules.” In the op-ed, they argue that “there's an urgent need for fresh thinking about how to fit CEQA (the California Environmental Quality Act) and HAA (the Housing Accountability Act) together in a sensible way." Read the op-ed.

Christopher S. Elmendorf is a professor of law at UC Davis School of Law whose teaching and research interests include election law, administrative law, statutory interpretation, constitutional law, and property and natural resources law.
