Professor Cooper Highlighted in UC Newsroom
Professor Holly Cooper's work aiding earthquake victims in Haiti was highlighted in "Helping Hands," an article in UC Newsroom, a publication of the University of California. The article lists several ways in which UC faculty and students are involved in community service, including the legal assistance provided to immigrants by King Hall students working with the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic, of which Professor Cooper is associate director. Cooper traveled twice to Haiti during 2010, assisting people with critical injuries as they petitioned the U.S. government to allow them into the country for medical treatment.
