Professor Cooper Argues before Ninth Circuit

Professor Holly Cooper presented oral argument last week before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in the case of Robles v. Holder.  The case presents important issues on Chevron deference and retroactivity.  Holly Cooper's co-counsel in the case was Professor Carter White, who assisted with oral argument.  Kathy Brady from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, and Bay Area attorneys Zachary Nightingale and Avantika Shastri also assisted Professor Cooper with her oral presentation.  

Holly Cooper is a professor of law and serves as staff attorney at the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic. Her areas of specialty include immigration law and detained immigrants' rights.
