Professor Chin Speaks on Fourteenth Amendment at Louisiana State University

Professor Gabriel “Jack” Chin was on a panel on Immigration and the Fourteenth Amendment at a conference at Louisiana State University on the Sesquicentennial of the Amendment’s adoption. In 2003, Professor Chin and a group of his students persuaded the Ohio Legislature to ratify the Amendment, after they ratified, then rejected it during the original ratification process.

Gabriel "Jack" Chin is Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of Law and holder of the Edward L. Barrett, Jr. Endowed Chair at UC Davis School of Law. He is a prolific and much-cited criminal and immigration law scholar whose work has addressed many of the most pressing social issues of our time.
