Professor Chandrasekher named Professor of the Year by BLSA Western Region

Professor Andrea Cann Chandrasekher has been honored as Professor of the Year by the Western Region of the Black Law Students Association. Chandrasekher was nominated for the award by a number of UC Davis Law students.

Chandrasekher was honored in a virtual gala on Jan. 9 as part of the WRBLSA 2021 Regional Convention.

Professor Chandrasekher's research interests include criminal law, law and economics, quantitative methods, criminal justice public policy analysis, and policing. She holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a Ph.D. in economics from UC Berkeley. She has taught as a visiting assistant professor at Northwestern School of Law and served as a fellow at Stanford Law School.
