Professor Chandrasekher discusses arbitration paper at Inaugural Consumer Law Scholars Conference

Professor Andrea Cann Chadrasekher participated in the Inaugural Consumer Law Scholars Conference, presented by the Berkeley Center for Consumer Law & Economic Justice on Feb. 21-22.

She discussed a paper on arbitration by two UC Irvine scholars, Shauhin Talesh and Peter Alter, titled “The Hidden Curriculum of Arbitrator Training: A comparative Analysis of Private and State-Run Arbitration Hearings.”

Professor Chandrasekher's educational background includes a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a Ph.D. in economics from UC Berkeley. She has taught as a visiting assistant professor at Northwestern School of Law and served as a fellow at Stanford Law School. Her research interests include criminal law, law and economics, quantitative methods, criminal justice public policy analysis, and policing.
