Professor Chander Speaks at UCLA Kleinrock Center for Internet Studies
Professor Anupam Chander spoke on September 28 at UCLA's Kleinrock Center for Internet Studies as part of "Digital Cash," a conference on electronic payments. His talk, entitled "The Global Regulation of Bitcoin (Vel Non)," surveyed the current regulation of Bitcoin around the world.
The conference was sponsored by the University of California Humanities Research Institute and the UCLA Computer Science Department's Kleinrock Center for Internet Studies, along with the NSF-Funded Participation Lab at the Institute of Society and Genetics, the Department of Information Studies, and the UCLA Law School's Program on Understanding Law, Science and Evidence.
Professor Anupam Chander is a leading scholar in the law of globalization and digitization, and has written widely on international law and cyber law. He is also Director of the California International Law Center at King Hall.
