Professor Chander Speaks at Latin American Telecommunications, Technology, and Internet Public Policy Forum

Professor Anupam Chander spoke at the Fourth Annual Latin American Telecommunications, Technology, and Internet Public Policy Forum, which took place in Miami, Florida in March.

Professor Chander participated in a panel discussion on "Enabling and protecting cross-border data flows." The panel included the data privacy commissioner of the Bahamas, as well as leading privacy lawyers from Spain and the United States. The panel discussed issues such as data transfer from Europe to other countries and various international data privacy standards. The panel's goal was to deepen the expertise of Latin American and Caribbean governments regarding issues of cross-border information flow.

Professor Chander, a leading scholar of international economic law and cyberlaw, is the author of The Electronic Silk Road: How the Web Binds the World in Commerce, published in 2013 by Yale University Press.
