Professor Chander Speaks to APEC Business Advisory Council
Professor Anupam Chander spoke on digital trade to an audience of Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Advisory Council members on February 24, 2016. The event took place at the Google offices in San Francisco. Also speaking were Ben Fohner, Head of Mobile for Emerging Markets at Google, Shirley Lin, executive director of the startup community 800 Birds, Tim Hwang, Head of Developer Policy at Google, and Matthew Le Merle, managing partner of Fifth Era. Professor Chander spoke on the regulatory environment conducive to the digital economy.
Professor Chander, a Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of Law at UC Davis School of Law, is a leading scholar of international economic law and cyberlaw. He is the author of The Electronic Silk Road: How the Web Binds the World in Commerce, published in 2013 by Yale University Press.
