Professor Chander Interviewed on Internet Access by Al Jazeera English
Professor Anupam Chander was interviewed on live television for Al Jazeera English on October 28, 2014, on the topic of new taxes on Internet access proposed by Hungary. Those proposed taxes have drawn 100,000 protestors to the streets in Hungary.
Professor Chander noted that the United States has barred such taxes in order to promote widespread Internet access. A tax on Hungarian Internet users would inevitably reduce access, he noted.
Professor Anupam Chander is a leading scholar in the law of globalization and digitization and has written widely on international law and cyber law. He is also Director of the California International Law Center at King Hall.
