Professor Brownstein Speaks at Mercer University as 2015 Shurden Lecturer

Professor Alan Brownstein spoke at Mercer University as part of the Walter B. and Kay W. Shurden Lectures on Religious Liberty and Separation of Church and State.  Speaking at the Atlanta campus on April 7, Professor Brownstein lectured on "Engaging in Respectful Discourse about Religion and Equality." The following day, he spoke at the university's Macon campus on "The Multi-dimensional Nature of Church-State Controversies" and on "Liberty and Equality Values in the Hobby Lobby and Town of Greece Decisions."

Professor Brownstein, a nationally recognized Constitutional Law scholar, recently retired after more than 30 years of teaching Constitutional Law, Law and Religion, and Torts at UC Davis School of Law.
