Professor Aoki to Lecture on Intellectual Property Law at Ohio Northern
Professor Keith Aoki will present a lecture titled "Theft! A History of Music" at Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law on January 28, 2010.
Professor Aoki says his talk will address relatively recent intellectual property law and its relationship to the creation of music through history. He will also discuss his latest comic book project, on which he is collaborating with Professors James Boyle and Jennifer Jenkins from Duke Law School. Like the lecture, the comic book is titled "Theft! A History of Music." Boyle and Jenkins are the writers, and Professor Aoki is the illustrator.
The comic book is a sequel to their first collaboration, titled "Bound by Law?" - a comic book about intellectual property and documentary filmmaking.
According to Professor Aoki, the comic book "Theft! A History of Music" is expected to be released in mid-2010.
