Professor Angela Harris delivers keynote address at International Women's Day Conference

Professor Emeritus Angela P. Harris delivered the keynote speech for the International Women’s Day Conference, held March 8 at Queen’s University law school in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Her topic was “The Colour of Farming: Food and the Reproduction of Race.” The event was presented by Feminist Legal Studies Queen’s.

Angela P. Harris is a professor emeritus at UC Davis School of Law, where she was the Boochever and Bird Endowed Chair for the Study and Teaching of Freedom of Equality, as well as director of the Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies. One of the nation's foremost scholars in the fields of critical race theory, feminist legal theory and civil rights, she joined the UC Davis faculty from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2011.
