Professor Amar Presents at Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference
Professor Vikram Amar will present an overview of the Supreme Court's recently-concluded term to dozens of Ninth Circuit and District Court judges at the 2008 Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference held in Sun Valley Idaho, July 28-31. Professor Amar, who has offered an analysis of the Supreme Court's work product for each of the past six years at the Ninth Circuit's annual conferences, will make this year's presentation along with Ninth Circuit Judge and UNLV law Professor Jay Bybee. Also attending the Conference in Sun Valley and offering some views on the Term and the current state of the Supreme Court will be Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy. Professor Amar writes, teaches, and consults in the public law fields, especially constitutional law, civil procedure, and remedies. He authors a bi-weekly column on constitutional matters for findlaw.com (the most frequently visited Web site devoted to legal issues) He is a frequent commentator on national and local radio and TV, and has written dozens of op-ed pieces for newspapers and magazines.
