Professor Amann Comments on WikiLeaks for SF Chronicle

Professor Diane Marie Amann commented on the WikiLeaks disclosure of confidential documents showing that U.S. officials pressured Germany and Spain to derail criminal investigations of Americans for an article in the San Francisco Chronicle published March 6.

In the article, Professor Amann comments that it's neither surprising nor illegal that the United States would try to discourage such foreign prosecutions, but criticized the "failure of the United States itself to conduct any apparent investigation or efforts at accountability."

Diane Marie Amann is Professor of Law at the UC Davis School of Law and Director of the California International Law Center (CILC) at King Hall.
