Professor Amann Comments on Justice Stevens for National Law Journal
Professor Diane Marie Amann commented on the continued activity and influence of Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, the longest-serving member of the Court, for a recent article in the National Law Journal. The article describes how Justice Stevens, just weeks shy of his 89th birthday, remains extraordinarily vigorous both in his personal life and in his activities on the Court.
"He is fully engaged and excited. He really enjoys his work, and he loves to win," states Professor Amann, a former clerk for Stevens who is at work on a biography of the Justice. The piece also mentions the recent 2009 UC Davis Law Review Symposium on Justice Stevens, for which Professor Amann was the faculty advisor.
