Professor Amann Comments on Gitmo Closure for National Media
Professor Diane Marie Amann commented on the Obama administration's plans to close the detention camp at Guantánamo Bay for the Christian Science Monitor and KCBS radio last week. She also contributed another entry on Guantánamo Bay to "Room for Debate," a feature of the New York Times website. Professor Amann discussed several issues related to the closure, including questions of what will be done with terrorism suspects currently detained there, and criticized the Bush administration policy that allowed for the detention of suspects without charges.
