Professor Amann Comments on al-Bashir Warrant for Skokie Review
Professor Diane Marie Amann commented in a recent story in the Skokie Review on the issuance by the International Criminal Court of a warrant for the arrest of Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir.
Professor Amann described the warrant as a positive step toward halting the bloodshed in Sudan, comparing it to accusations of genocide that helped to drive Slobodan Milosevic from the Serbian presidency in 1997. The article also mentioned Professor Amann's role as director of the California International Law Center at King Hall in leading a joint effort with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights to develop a framework for peace and reconciliation in Darfur.
Diane Marie Amann is a Professor at the UC Davis School of Law and Director of the California International Law Center at King Hall.
