Professor Afsharipour Presents New Article at Richmond Law
On Nov. 8, Professor Afra Afsharipour presented her article “ESG Dealmaking” (University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law, 2024) as part of the Emanuel Emroch Colloquy Series at the University of Richmond School of Law.
The article contributes to Afsharipour’s broader research agenda on sustainability issues and corporate governance, as well as her research on merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions. Recent work in these areas includes:

Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law Afra Afsharipour’s areas of research include corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, transactional law, and the legal profession. From 2018-2024, she served as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Her scholarship has appeared in the Columbia Law Review, University of Chicago Law Review, Minnesota Law Review, Vanderbilt Law Review, and UC Davis Law Review, among other leading publications.
