Prof. Chander Comments on Fukushima Liability for Nuclear Intelligence

Professor Anupam Chander commented for Nuclear Intelligence Weekly on potential liability issues associated with the nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Japan.  The article appears in the publication's April 25, 2011 issue.

Professor Chander was quoted as refuting suggestions some have made that there is no possibility that GE could be held liable for the failures of the reactors it designed at the Fukushima nuclear facility.  As Professor Chander reminded,  "In law, it's rarely an open-and-shut matter that someone is liable or not."

Professor Anupam Chander is a leading scholar in the law of globalization and digitization, and has written widely on international law, cyber law, and corporate law.
