N.Y. Times Quotes Professor Buxbaum About Rare Move in Greenpeace Case

Professor Hannah Buxbaum spoke to the New York Times for a May 28 report on a highly unusual development in the long-running dispute between Greenpeace and the American pipeline company Energy Transfer.

Earlier this month, the North Dakota Supreme Court barred Greenpeace International from making certain claims about the pipeline company in a Dutch court.

Calling the move “wild,” Buxbaum noted that the decision amounts to “indirectly telling that court what it can and cannot consider,” and said she could not recall “another situation where I’ve seen something like that.” 

Buxbaum wrote about the case, and the North Dakota court’s antisuit injunction, for the Transnational Litigation Blog.
