N.Y. Times Editorial on 'Broken' Recall Election Quotes Professor Elmendorf

The New York Times’ editorial board quoted Professor Christopher Elmendorf in its Sept. 9 editorial headlined “California’s Recall Election is Broken.” 

“The system as it’s designed allows a minority faction that really has no hope of winning statewide election to get a recall on the ballot,” Elmendorf told the Times.

Forty-six candidates are challenging Gov. Gavin Newsom in California’s Sept. 14 recall election.
