New Study Sees Increased Demand For Highly Educated Workers, Including Lawyers

A new study sees a significant demand for more California workers with high levels of education, including law degrees. The 112-page report, Keeping Californias Edge: The Growing Demand for Highly Educated Workers, analyzed the link between highly educated employees and the economic value they create in the California economy and in key industries. The analysis found that some of the best job openings will include those for lawyers, with an estimated 41,600 increased openings between 2002 and 2022. The study was released April 26, 2006, by the California Business Roundtable and the Campaign for College Opportunity.
