Medscape Quotes Professor Florey on Abortion Foes Targeting Doctors with Potential Out-of-State Patients
Professor Katherine Florey spoke to Medscape for a short Aug. 4 piece about anti-abortion activists targeting doctors in states where abortion is legal in an effort to deter interstate travel for the procedure.
"Doctors should do what they think is medically necessary, but they should be aware of potential criminal and/or civil consequences in a patient's home state, especially if those states have staked out more extreme positions on abortion such as Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana," Florey told Medscape.
