King Hall students will have the opportunity to hear free lectures by Linda Greenhouse, Jack Balkin, and Mariano-Florentino "Tino" Cuéllar, among others.

On March 18, Linda Greenhouse, the Knight Distinguished Journalist in Residence and Joseph Goldstein Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School, a New York Times columnist, and a nationally renowned expert on the U.S. Supreme Court, will deliver the Brigitte M. Bodenheimer Lecture in Family Law. The Central Valley Foundation/James B. On May 15, the Class of 2015 Commencement Ceremony will feature an address by "Tino" Cuéllar, the Stanley Morrison Professor of Law and director of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University, who has recently been nominated by Governor Jerry Brown to become the newest justice of the California Supreme Court.

In addition to endowed lectures, UC Davis School of Law frequently hosts speaker events sponsored by its academic centers--the California International Law Center at King Hall (CILC), the California Environmental Law and Policy Center, the Center for Science and Innovation Studies, and the Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies--as well as student organizations.  Recent guest speakers have included Democratic Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, former Solicitor General Ken Starr, and Executive Director of the American Society for International Law Elizabeth "Betsy" Andersen.
