Lilianna Romero '21 speaks to Teen Vogue about Justice Sotomayor's influence

Teen Vogue interviewed first-year UC Davis School of Law student Lilianna Romero for its story headlined "Sonia Sotomayor's Tenure as a Supreme Court Justice Makes Latinx Law Students Hopeful for the Future."

Romero told Teen Vogue that seeing Justice Sonia Sotomayor become the first Latina on the Supreme Court helped seal her own decision to attend law school.

“Sonia Sotomayor inspires me every day as a Latinx student, in the sense that I can see someone from the same background as me accomplish what I want to accomplish one day,” Romero told the magazine.
