King Hall Negotiations Team Excels in ABA Regional Competition

Anthony Bettencourt '12, Joanna Cuevas Ingram '12, Rachel Ray '11, and Jesse Yang '11 represented UC Davis School of Law at the 2010 ABA Regional Negotiations Competition at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law on November 12, turning in an exemplary performance against the best student negotiators from law schools within the Ninth District.  After a full day of engaging in mock negotiations with teams from Santa Clara Law School, UC Hastings, and UC Berkeley  School of Law, both King Hall teams came within two points of reaching the final round.

The students dedicated several weeks to preparing for the competition with their coach, Professor Donna Shestowsky and student volunteers.  Following the competition, the team members expressed their appreciation to Professor Shestowsky, and King Hall Alumni Sarah McBride '09, Hazel Espejo '10, Jeremiah Harvey '10, and Yuri Kvichko '10 for their time spent preparing with the teams.
