King Hall law student wins honor from Anti-Defamation League
David Fox ’19 will be one of the law students honored next month at the 2019 Civil Rights Reception of the Anti-Defamation League's Mountain States Office.
While a summer associate at the Denver office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber & Schreck, Fox and a teammate in the Las Vegas office wrote a pro-bono legal memorandum for the ADL regarding hate speech and First Amendment rights on social media. Their effort was named a winner in the ADL Mountain States Office’s annual memo competition.
The Civil Rights Reception will be held Feb. 20 in Denver. Honorees include Judy and Dennis Shepard, founders of the Matthew Shepard Foundation, as well as immigration attorney Hans Meyer and civil rights attorney Qusair Mohamedbhai.
