King Hall Honors Toso Himel '75

At the Asian/Pacific Bar Association of Sacramento Gala on Sept. 17, Senior Associate Dean Donna Shestowsky presented UC Davis Law alumnus Yoshonori "Toso" Himel '75 with an award recognizing his lasting, and remarkable, contributions to the legal community.  

A graduate of the Class of 1975, Himel has been a steadfast advocate for social justice. After serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the civil division of the Eastern District of California, Himel taught civil litigation at the law school. In addition, Himel has been a leading voice about the incarceration of Japanese Americans in World War II.
