King Hall Financial Aid Ranked Among Most Generous

UC Davis School of Law ranks second in the latest U.S. News & World Report assessment of the generosity of financial aid at public law schools. King Hall students receive more financial aid and graduate with less debt than peers at other top-tier California law schools, according to the rankings.

In assessments based upon median grant amounts, U.S. News & World Report placed King Hall second among public laws schools nationwide. In the ranking of schools whose students graduate with the least debt, the School of Law placed second among law schools in California.

UC Davis School of Law also was recently listed among the nation's "Best Value" law schools by National Jurist. The magazine's rating system takes into account a law school's tuition, cost of living expenses, students' average indebtedness upon graduation, the percentage of alumni who got a job after graduation, and bar passage rates. "Best Value" schools are not ranked numerically. King Hall was one of 53 law schools listed. Results were reported in the legal blog Above the Law.

"UC Davis School of Law, which offers financial aid packages that are significantly more generous than most other top-ranked law schools, is smart investment in many ways."

UC Davis School of Law presents a particularly attractive option for students looking to practice in California. Of the 10 highest-ranked California law schools, King Hall has the lowest room-and-board costs, the most generous financial aid, and the lowest average graduate indebtedness. At UC Davis School of Law, roughly one-third of all student fees are returned to students in the form of financial aid.
