King Hall Faculty Speak at Law & Society Annual Meeting
Professors Lisa Pruitt, Courtney Joslin, Afra Afsharipour, and Peter Lee participated in the Annual Meeting of the Law and Society Association in Chicago on May 27-30.
Professor Pruitt was part of a panel commenting on a new book by Martha Chamallas and Jennifer Wriggins, The Measure of Injury: Race, Gender, and Tort Law, and also organized and participated in a panel on "Geographic, Economic, and Social Factors Influencing Intra-Family Violence and Legal Responses to It." Professor Joslin participated in a discussion of From the Closet to the Courtroom: Five LGBT Lawsuits that have Changed Our Nation by Carlos Ball. Professor Afsharipour presented her paper "The Agency Costs of Buyer Boards" in a session on Regulation and Governance, and Professor Lee presented his paper, "The Limitations of Intellectual Property: Tacit Knowledge and Vertical Academic Integration," in a session on Law and Entrepreneurship.
